For my projects I used the Joy Clair Rose Sentiments stamp set to feature today!

I made a card and a tag with this stamp set:

For my card I started with white card stock for the base of the card, the size is 5 1/2 inch square.  Next I took a piece of paper from the Molly & Rex Specialty Cardstock that I purchased at my local Michael's store.  I took the rose frame from the Joy Clair Rose Sentiment stamp set, some black Memento ink and a piece of watercolor paper and stamped the roses.  I then picked the sentiment I wanted and stamped that with the black ink, then I took my Copic markers and colored in the roses.  I took the large Gina Marie Designs Scallop Oval die and cut out the image and attached that to the card.

Here is a closer look at the card:

For my tag:

For my tag I stamped the image with the black ink onto some watercolor paper, colored it with Copic markers and then fussy cut it out.  I cut out some Kraft card stock with the stitched tag die and then added the roses to the top of the tag. I picked out the Get well soon sentiment and stamped that with black ink onto the tag.  Then I took some peach crinkle ribbon from the DL.ART Spring Bundle #2 and tied that on the top of the tag.

Tomorrow you will see the entire Color by Faith Collection and all the new Background sets!!!

Whimsy Stamps Challenge #97 ~ Anything Goes with an option of Holiday

Hello Blogging Friends,

Today I am going to share with you a card that I am entering in the Whimsy Stamps Challenge #97 ~ Anything goes with an option of Holiday.

Here is my card:

Ingredients:

Assorted papers from my stash
Black ink
Watercolor paper
White cardstock
Copic markers
Wink of Stella clear

For this A2 card I started with white card stock for the base of the card.  I took a piece blue paper and cut it out with the largest Gina Marie Designs Big and Little Pierced Chain Rectangle die and added that to the base of the card.  I took a piece of watercolor paper, black ink and the Whimsy Stamps Penguins Oops! Stamp and stamped that onto the paper and then colored in the image with Copic markers.  You can't see it in the picture, but I added some clear Wink of Stella to the icicles hanging down.  I cut that out with the one of the smaller Gina Marie Designs Big and Little Pierced Chain Rectangle die and then attached it to the striped paper and cut that out with the next size up die and added that to the card.  I took some of the DL.ART Mermaids Tale Bundle 2nd Edition Crinkle Ribbon and made a bow and attached that to the card.  I just love this stamp set, it makes me giggle everytime I see the one penguin giggling at the one whose tongue is stuck to the icicle!

Be sure to stop by the Whimsy Stamps Challenge #97 to see all the wonderful creations that the Design Team have made and the other entries!

I will be sending this card, along with the others that I have already made, to the Cards for Little Hearts Card Drive.

Joy Clair "Find Joy in the Journey"

Hello Blogging Friends,

Today it is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog and I have a fun card for all the Explorers out there!! I made my card with the Joy Clair Wild & Free stamp set.

For this A2 card I started with Kraft card stock for the base of the card.  Then I took the Joy Clair Wild & Free stamp set, some Memento black ink and a piece of watercolor paper and stamped the mountains across the bottom of the paper, then fussy cut it out to make a mask.  I then stamped  my first set of mountains and then put the mask over the mask over that and stamped more mountains.  I colored the mountains with different green and brown Copic markers.  I used my inking tool and some Tumbled Glass distress ink and filled in the sky.  I then took the sentiment from that same stamp set and stamped that with black ink off to the left hand side of the card.  I cut it out using the Gina Marie Designs Big and Little Chain Rectangle die.  I inked the edges with Tumbled Glass distress ink and then I mounted that onto some royal blue paper and used the next size up rectangle to cut that out.  I took some marbled blue paper, inked the edges with Faded Jeans distress ink and attached that to the card base, then I attached the other papers to the card.  I took some yellow paper and the Die-Versions Western Sun die and ran that through my big shot and then attached the sun to the card.

Here is a closer look at my card:

I really love that sentiment about finding the Joy in the Journey!

Joy Clair is having a Flash Sale today, Thursday, August 10th!!  So be sure to stop by the Joy Clair store.
